The gangster-swaggering, reggae-breaks-jungle mashup, festival stalwarts that are the Dub Pistols. Their roller coaster story reads like a rock’n’roll cautionary tale on a grand scale.
Skitz – Never one to follow fashion or bow to musical fads, genre boundaries are broken, templates and formula are pushed to the side. Daddy Skitz carves out his own distinct pathway both as a solo artist and also alongside the Godfather of UK Rap Rodney P. Anna Wall – After stints in Ibiza and Berlin; Anna is firmly back in London working alongside leading record labels helping drive their music to radio and clubs worldwide. You can also find her wooing crowds in Europe’s most respected clubs and festivals including Watergate Berlin, Space Ibiza, Snowbombing, and Secret Garden Party.
Coco Cole – Hosting 6 shows a week on Capital XTRA, Coco Cole is a staple name in UK dance music. Pioneering house, bass and techno she pulls in exclusive weekly guest mixes from a prime choice of artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Roy Davis Jr, Shadow Child. Coco also runs the WANTED club night, a compilation series & A&Rs for several labels.
Krywald & Farrer – A pair of DJs/ Producers from London best known for their residency with the much lauded party outfit Percolate, residencies at XOYO, The Nest and their fortnightly radio show on meattransmission radio. This duo have proven their skills behind the decks in some of the best clubs and festivals in the UK as well as on the continent.
Tom Frog – I’m normally known for Indie/Rock and party music but I’m totally flexible. Always like to keep the crowd happy. Legit requests are considered. Tenth Letter – Having attended his first Glastonbury at barely 12 weeks old music is in Jake’s blood. DJ and drummer, playing dnb and dubstep under various aliases jake now operates as Tenth letter. Having played alongside the likes of Chef, Cluekid and Kutz he now plays regularly on flex fm dnb Fridays with DJ Fidget.
Mosteph – London based DJ Mosteph is known for her bass heavy eclectic sets. Mixing a variety of genres, her upfront and fresh selection has caught the attention of bass music lovers. Mosteph has hosted radio shows on Nasty FM and Mode FM and releases regular mixes on her podcast Four Corners of Bass.
Yen – London based producer and Drum n Bass DJ Yen’s mix of hard hitting styles to jungle and upfront drum n bass has seen him play at underground nights all over London. Now focusing and putting more time aside on production, Yen will be dropping his own brand of DnB throughout the course of year. Watch out!
Kafkr – Beginning her radio career behind the buttons at underground station Rinse FM, Kafkr cut her teeth at the epicentre of the UK’s ever-changing electronic music landscape. As well as hosting her own show on Nasty FM, Kafkr can be found delivering chest-rattling, sub-heavy DJ sets at venues and festivals all over the UK, having supported the likes of Mumdance, Slimzee and Marcus Nasty.
DJ Ish – Born and raised in a rasta yard in Brixton,I went to my first sound system in a pram. Having then left LDN for Cape Town, I took my love for music with me where I Dj’d & threw events for 6 years. Now back, I work at a booking agency & put on a party which focuses on South African house and big dark bass heavy beats.
Chris P Cuts – One of the most diverse and perpetually evolving DJ’s in the UK. Chris P Cuts mastered his art through years of gigs, live shows (Roots Manuva, Spoek Mathambo, Jehst & Melanin 9,) radio appearances and record digging. Ed Word – Co-founder of boogie nights (bi-monthly event held at the 414) and team member of the soul fools, Ed has been dj’ing in and around the Brixton area for over 10 years. You can catch himself with compadre Larry Sun every Wednesday on Meat Transmission radio and the 1st Saturday of every month at The Lock Tavern.
Julien K Boogie – As one half of The Loose Cannons Julien has traveled the world filling dancefloors from Sydney to San Francisco, as well as remixing the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga & Alicia Keys. He can currently be found curating & DJing at the highly successful Morning Gloryville pre-work parties across the UK.
Brun-0 – Since he started spinning DnB aged 15 this now London-based DJ has played all over the country, sharing stages with some of the biggest names in the game. His constantly evolving selection spans the limits of the genre and sees fresh releases dropped alongside a select few classics. Expect rolling basslines, soulful melodies, scatty amens and maybe the odd touch of filth.
Calvin Reid / SMJ – Calvin Reid is a London born, globally educated, music aficionado. Cutting his teeth in rock bands and later killing dancefloors on the DnB circuit means he has an ear for sound, regardless of the genre. Plenty of music industry experience and a flare for vocabulary make him a solid sounding board for the plethora of new music out there.
